Compliance and advice
As a condition of DMA membership, your company has to comply with the Direct Marketing Code of Practice (DM Code). Following the DM Code isn’t a legal requirement, so our in-house compliance services team is primarily focused on helping you to work in accordance with the DM Code, rather than enforcing it.
This begins from the point at which you become a member. Each DMA member company must have a compliance officer that is knowledgeable about the requirements of the DM Code, so we provide the training and certification they need to fulfil this role. Our team is always on hand to give advice and support on complying with the DM Code and completing self-assessments. A member of our team will also visit your business from time to time to discuss any issues you have with the DM Code.
