When something comes with the seal of approval of It’s Nice That, you know you’re in safe hands. The media organisation - which celebrates creative culture in its bi-annual print magazine, website and regular events - have launched a website that has the service people of the creative industries at its heart.

Entitled Lecture In Progress, the online platform is a valuable resource for copywriters who just starting their careers. Dreamt up by Will Hudson and Alex Bec, the founders of It’s Nice That, Lecture in Progress offers a digital stepping stone for graduates who may be looking for their next move.

By showcasing honest and personal opinions, the site gives unique insights into the working days of not only copywriters but designers and directors too. In the words of director Will Hudson, “Our aim is to empower emerging talent with information and first-hand accounts that demystify the day-to-day workings of the creative world.”

A prominent editorial series, Creative Lives, features interviews with writers who work both in agency and independently. Day-to-day work habits are detailed, as are parts of the job that some copywriters are probably too shy to talk about.

Sam Russell from Soho agency Reed Words talks about the reality of trying to write with a tired brain, and Vikki Ross, founder of Copy Cabana, speaks candidly about the worst mistake she’s ever made; read here to see if it’s something you agree with.

True to its sharing is caring nature, Lecture In Progress provides a constantly updated feed of relevant writing from other platforms, meaning that you can happily start your day there and end it somewhere around lunchtime, bouncing back and forth between pages as you learn and enrich.
