In late 2022, the DMA ran a micro-upskilling pilot with 16 Member organisations, in which participants committed to as little as an hour per week to flexible, bitesize e-learning and professional development.

The 6-10-week pilot involved 150 learners from companies, charities, SMEs, and agencies, including The RSPCA, Golden Charter, The Dragonfly Agency, Visit Scotland, Experian and PETA.

Rachel Aldighieri, MD of the DMA, examines the encouraging findings of the pilot alongside:

  • Howard Barber, Director of Data Analytics & Insight, Golden Charter
  • Jenny Broadley, Marketing Manager, RSPCA
  • Cara Lawson, Head Of Client Services, The Dragonfly Agency

Our speakers also discuss:

  • Why micro-upskilling's bitesize, continuous learning approach can reduce industry-wide skills gaps - while enhancing staffs' learning experience
  • The UK Government's recent strategies and statements about skills development
  • How creative industries can drive growth by diversifying and expanding staff skillsets
  • Why the DMA community can should lead the drive to implement wider industries using continuous learning cultures across all organisations to drive growth
