Coronavirus: March 2021 - Business Impacts Barometer

Discover the findings from our latest monthly barometer on our industry’s attitudes to the evolving coronavirus challenge, generated thanks to the kind contributions from across the DMA community.

In this March 2021 edition (with a long read here), many businesses surveyed report tentative signs of recovery and hope for the future.

Our findings highlight:

  • Hope for modest revenue growth (+5.9%) in the year to come and almost two-thirds (63%) of businesses seeing some signs of recovery compared to earlier in the pandemic
  • The prospect of recruitment in the data and marketing industry returning, with 50% suggesting they would be hiring
  • Increasing confidence in the UK Government, after a low of 16% in November, this has returned to 33% – its highest since May 2020
