Proximity London leads DMA Awards nominations

Proximity London leads the DMA Awards shortlist with 24, as the full 2017 shortlist is announced

The finalists for this year’s DMA Awards reveals Proximity London leading the way with 24 nominations, for 8 campaigns. This year’s shortlist showcases entries from over 50 agencies, with 84 brands vying for a Gold in one of the 33 categories, as well as being in line to take home the prized Grand Prix award.

This year’s Awards were judged by over 300 senior marketers from agencies, brands and marketing service provider over 4 days in order to whittle the entries down to the shortlist. The list of frontrunners for the DMA Awards 2017 includes:

6. Karmarama – 6

7. TMW Unlimited – 5

= OgilvyOne – 5

9. Engine – 4

= Scope (& agency partners) – 4

= Krow – 4

= PSONA – 4

= Havas Helia Cirencester – 4

The most shortlisted client brands at this years’ awards included The Economist, IKEA and Scope – each in the running for Gold in 5 categories. While vying for 4 is a large group of brands, including Bacardi, Co-op Funeralcare, PayPal, The British Army, The Open University, The RNLI and Vauxhall.

Nicky Bullard, Chair of the DMA Awards committee, commented: “It’s been a funny old year. The agency landscape has changed. People have moved and the work felt just as unsettled. However, the results we’ve seen this year show real strength in this industry. Multiple successes across different clients show that whatever the market conditions, strategic talent, strong client leadership and creative consistency will always win out.”

Making even getting to a shortlist more than a little challenging in some categories. It’s also been fantastic to see the number of agencies on this year’s shortlist and the wide array of talent and skills we have in our industry.”

The winners of the DMA Awards 2017, supported by headline sponsors Dotmailer, Feefo and Royal Mail MarketReach, will be announced at the DMA Awards night at Old Billingsgate on Tuesday 5 December.
