DMA Awards 2020: The Winners' Series and Grand Prix Reveal
09 Oct 2020
The DMA Awards 2020 called out the boldest, most brilliant work in the industry; the most inspiring, effective campaigns in data and marketing.
And you responded with another stellar year of entries. But with the Covid-19 pandemic ruling out a traditional DMA Awards night event, we faced the challenge of how to best do justice to the work and people behind it.
Because although many things have changed, the purpose of Awards winners has not.
They’re the shop window of our industry, acting as a beacon to attract talent, a trusted intelligent marketing resource. DMA Award-winning work inspires established leaders and supports the next generation of creative and marketing stars, as they emerge into our industry and set new standards.
So we’re excited to announce new approach to replace our traditional December DMA Awards night.
Firstly three virtual events will reveal our Category winners: The Winners’ Series.
And to help you get the most out of discovering “what” won, we’ll dig into the “why” as well.
Our Category Chairs and Judges will take you into the campaigns that triumphed in the judging rooms, and discuss what made the work golden standard in their expert eyes.
The Winners’ Series will run as follows:
· Campaigns – Wednesday 25 November
· Channels and Craft – Wednesday 2 December
· Industry sectors and data – Wednesday 9 December
At each of the Winners’ Series events we will announce one of our Grand Prix Shortlist with three finalists invited to pitch their Awards case studies to our Jury at our Grand Prix Reveal event in January 2021.
As well as pitching to our Jury, our audience will have the chance to ask questions and explore the work as well.
If conditions allow, we’ll host this as an intimate, socially distanced, face-to-face event and we’ll keep you updated on our progress in terms of determining the format as we get closer to the end of the year.
