Join copywriters from throughout Scotland for a drink, a chat and copy talk. This time we're focusing on that toughest of copy challenges: fundraising and persuading people to give up their hard-earned for those less fortunate.

This event is proving very popular and we are currently sold out. If you'd like to be added to the waiting list please email Charlotte Gough.

How do you persuade people to give their money away?

It's tough. Tougher than tough. Raising funds for a charity is no free pass.

Particularly when the actions of some charities have enraged the public over the past few years.

The copywriter has to open hearts. And minds. And wallets. The issue might not affect the reader directly, but you have to get the reader involved.

Come and hear creative consultant, copywriter and former ECD at The Leith Agency, Sean Moore, talk about the challenges of writing for charities.

We’ll look at some creative success stories and learn lessons from poorer executions.

For the second half, we’ll open up the discussion to the floor. Bring along a favourite - or loathed - piece of fundraising collateral and help us our answer that most fundamental question of all:

What gives?

Book your spot. It costs nothing, but will enrich you. Bring examples of copy that has thrilled or disappointed you and we’ll pick it all to pieces. Expect talks, presentations, case studies and passion.
