The role of the DMA is to assist brands to put the consumer at the heart of everything they do, treating them with honesty, transparency, and supporting them to follow best practice throughout all their data & marketing business activities.

As there are so many different aspects of data & marketing affecting the UK’s marketing ecosystem, the DMA has formed community groups called Councils and Committees which specialise in these different areas of marketing. These groups are made up of professional volunteers from throughout the corporate membership, some of which are very senior, who meet and produce outputs such as events, whitepapers, research, webinars and blogs which help the industry solve challenges and grow.

These groups are:

  • Customer Engagement Committee
  • Responsible Marketing Committee
  • Awards Committee
  • Creative Committee
  • Customer Data Council
  • B2B Council
  • Contact Centre Council
  • Email Marketing Council
  • Social Media Council
  • Print Council
  • DMA North Council
  • DMA West Council
  • DMA Scotland Council

This role is responsible for helping and supporting these groups and the wider councils team so that we as the DMA can be as meaningful and productive as possible to not only our members, but the wider UK marketing community.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Administrative support such as booking meeting rooms, set up / pack down of council and council-related meetings, issuing agendas, recording attendance, taking detailed minutes, co-ordination and follow up of action points, and feedback to deliver projects.
  • Help to facilitate and coordinate the production of DMA council and committee outputs such as events, research, best practice, white-papers, thought leadership and all council activities.
  • Co-ordinate the content for DMA council communication channels e.g. blog, newsletter, social media etc.
  • Help drive DMA council projects by producing project plans and critical paths for delivering outputs to deadline and budget.
  • Administrative and marketing assistance regarding the annual DMA Board Elections
  • Provide administrative support to DMA member groups on request i.e working parties, council hubs and open meetings.
  • Field queries from DMA council members and DMA members
  • Supporting the DMA Group Councils team on any council related activities
