Data Skills for Work Funding (Edinburgh & South East Scotland)

DSFW_Logo.gif

Data Skills for Work was created as a result of Edinburgh and South East Scotland's City Region Deal with a key focus on diversifying the workforce in the region and help adults to reskill and upskill in data to develop their careers.

The programme is a pathway to help and empower individuals and organisations find relevant training in data analytics, data science and other data courses. The 'city region' is powering up to give people the skills to train and develop them in ever evolving data driven jobs now - and in the future thus providing them with more opportunities into their careers.

The latest round of individuals funding ends on 31 May 2021. The Data Skills for Work team are looking for applicants from adults 24+ from disadvantaged people including women, BAME, disabled, neurodiverse, anyone experiencing problems accessing employment in this field or have been made redundant/at risk of redundancy.

The team will consider applications from areas within the City region area which includes Fife, City of Edinburgh, West Lothian, Mid Lothian, East Lothian and the Scottish Borders.

Check out at their Skills Portal which provides more information about data training providers (including IDM) and Data Skills Credit Funding - you can also check your eligiblity before booking a space on their selected courses.
