Paula Jenkins

Paula Jenkins

Paula has a solid direct marketing pedigree, spending nearly twenty years with leading agencies, much of it at board level. This experience was latterly complemented with interim contracts in public and private education, and customer experience consultancy.

Initially with Wunderman, Paula established a marketing services function. A strategically operational team that focused on developing and delivering integrated and cost-effective communications solutions for a wide range of clients. Always working with a clear customer-centric approach, areas of focus covered data planning, analysis and insight, response management and the CRM communication continuum. This approach was replicated at Rapp Collins, The Brompton Agency and Richardson Pailin & Fallows, each bringing different client opportunities. Alongside continuous developments within the industry, notably digital.

During this time Paula became a regular lecturer for the IDM on Project Management and Control, and sat on a number of DMA councils.

Exposure to the education sector came with a 3-month contract at the Open University – which became 3 years. Bringing fresh and dynamic thinking to a very challenging environment, and tackling some strong opposition, the focus was on re-building marketing’s reputation – and in turn significantly growing the student base, through more efficient and cost-effective marketing. Success that was mirrored in other educational institutions.

In 2014 Paula was involved with establishing and managing a robust process for monitoring marking standards across assignments and exams for all IDM courses and qualifications, coordinating a panel of markers, all senior industry practitioners. She became an active member of the Exam and Qualifications Advisory Boards and contributed to the writing of assignments and exams questions.
