Nina Barakzai
Nina Barakzai currently sits on the DMA's Governance Committee and is a member of the Research Advisory Group of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) as an FCMA. She is an accountant and solicitor and has gained Fellow status of the IAPP in addition to her CIPP/E and CIPP/M status, and is a retired Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and an accredited mediator. She served as the UK Board Member on the International Federation of Accountants’ International Ethics Standards Board and is a member of the Research Advisory Group of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) as an FCMA. Nina is a past Co-Chair of the ICC UK Digital Economy Committee and the Commerce & Industry Group and is the immediate past President and Chair of In-House Counsel Worldwide. Her professional experience is in compliance, ethics, privacy, corporate transactions, cloud services and social media and she currently holds responsibility for Data Governance in Facebook’s Office of Data Protection in Dublin, working with cross functional teams to build sustainable protection and use of personal data. She serves as Trustee for two community charities on a pro-bono basis.
