Kirstie Buchanan appointed Chair of the DMA North Council

Idox Group’s Sales & Marketing Director selected to lead the DMA Council in the north of England
Today the DMA has confirmed the appointment of a new Chair for its North Council, Kirstie Buchanan, Sales & Marketing Director at Idox Group-owned digital agencies Rippleffect and Reading Room. The Liverpool-based Buchanan brings with her over 16 years digital industry experience, during which she’s been a driving force behind the innovation and growth of some of the UK’s biggest agencies.
Buchanan is a proud advocate of nurturing talent and preparing the next generation of marketers for life in the sector. She is a mentor and works with a number of other senior female business owners in Liverpool on the challenge of retaining the region’s best talent. She plans to bring her commercial experience and passion for industry to the role of Chair to drive awareness and engagement with the DMA across the North region.
The DMA runs a number of events in Manchester, such as Copywriting clubs and Legal updates. The DMA Group’s Employability team also runs a range of initiatives to attract and inform the next generation of talent to the industry, in 2017 these will include dedicated events in the North region for the Big Book Crit and Mentoring.
