The 2014 DMA Awards finalists shortlist reveals a large field in contention for the most sought-after prizes in the one-to-one marketing industry. This year, 57 agencies and clients are in contention for grabbing Gold in 37 categories, as well as being in line to seize the DMA Awards Grand Prix. More than 350 senior marketers judged a record 540 entries to whittle down to the shortlist.

OgilvyOne leads the field with 23 nominations for nine campaigns. In joint second place with 14 nominations each are MRM Meteorite, Wunderman and Proximity.

Other highly-nominated agencies include LIDA, Leo Burnett Change and TMW with nine nominations apiece.

Commenting on the entries DMA Awards committee chair Mark Runacus said:

“The DMA Awards are always a bellwether for the one-to-one marketing industry. This has been a record year in terms of the number of entries and the number of agencies and brands shortlisted. This reflects a huge upswing in confidence within our community over the past 12 months.

“The overwhelming feedback from our judges has been that this year’s entries have shown superb strength in creative thinking, showing greater depth within our industry. Based on the shortlist, we can be sure that this year’s Awards will be the most fiercely contested yet.”

David Abraham, Channel 4’s chief executive, will oversee the final judging of the Grand Prix winner.

The winners of the 2014 DMAs, supported by headline sponsors Whistl and Emarsys, will be announced at the Awards ball to be held at Old Billingsgate in the City of London on 2 December.
