Come and talk words and the effect words have at Copywriting Club Bristol on 20 July, with a special focus on financial services, featuring guest speaker Ian Atkinson, marketing director at SunLife.

There’s a few things you should know about Copywriting Club.

It’s not a tutorial.

But you will learn something from an expert.

It’s not an A-Z guide to copywriting.

But you will pick up titbits to help you in your work.

It’s not a cult.

But you will keep coming back.

This time we'll look at financial services.

With challenger brands coming on the scene and new ways to swich supplier made easier for the customer, financial services brands are experimenting with new ways to reach customers.

There has never been a more exciting time to work for financial services brands.

Come and hear Ian Atkinson, marketing director at SunLife who is responsible for the brand's strategy, content marketing and advertising.

Ian studied psychology at university and has written books on marketing. Before SunLife he worked for brands like Alfa Romeo, Avis, B&Q, Barclays, Cow & Gate, Dyson, Jaguar, Halifax, Lloyds Bank, Nando's, Next, Oxfam, Sky, Which? and Zurich.

In 2016 he was named as one of the 10 'Marketers of the year' by the FS Forum Awards. People normally pay to see Ian speak at conferences. At Copywriting Club Britsol you can ask questions and put the world to rights over a drink.

See you there.
