We lament we have no modern day heroes in copywriting anymore.
We rail at the lack of diverse talent among our copywriters.
And we throw our hands up at the dearth of great copy written for women, the over 60s, the disabled, ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ ...
So, next year's #writerscrawl festival has a theme to end all that: Words without boundaries.
But you don't have to wait.
Head to our Anatomy of greatness session at Google HQ on 9 November 2017 and run the gamut of writing - from creative copy to literature, from film to digital, and anything in between.
We hope the session inspires you to write your way to being one of our modern day heroes.
Our Writer-in-Residence, Debi Bester, will be joined by DMA Chair and chief strategy officer at Karmarama Mark Runacus; creative director of Google Zoo, Patrick Collister; creative partner at iris Worldwide, Jason Andrews; and a diverse range of copywriters for a reading of writing that breaks boundaries.
Discover why writing matters, paragraph by sentence by phrase by punctuation mark - and be the first to find out where the next instalment of our copywriting festival - #writerscrawl 2018 - will take you.
