Student Marketing Competition Finalists Announced
28 Jun 2018
After a rigorous judging process the three finalists for this year’s Student Marketing Competition sponsored by Royal Mail, have been selected.
The three finalist teams are:
- Royal Direct, Northumbria University
- The You Experience, Sheffield Hallam University
- Ad me, University of Greenwich
Students were tasked with exploring ways of increasing direct mail usage amongst a young audience in a b2b capacity. The three teams will pitch to a panel of industry experts at DMA House on Thursday 12th July, where the winner will be announced later that evening at a drinks reception held as part of DMA Talent: Summer school at Mayfair’s Hush. The winning team will take home a cash prize of £1500.
The Student Marketing Competition is now in its 22nd year and is part of the DMA and IDM’s joint DMA Talent division. Previous competition sponsors include The Economist, T-Mobile, Guinness, Toyota, Nestle, Student Beans and BMW. The process offers students priceless, practical experience and, for the finalists, the opportunity to meet leading marketers and to win the top prize. The brief is also used by lecturers across the country as a valuable teaching aid on marketing and business courses.
