Louise's Digital Marketing Strategy Skills Bootcamp Journey

Louise, an ambitious Marketing Manager at a small company, had always been keen on honing her skills and taking her career to new heights. "I really enjoyed working with fellow students who all work in the marketing sector or those aspiring to join. It was so helpful to work alongside like-minded people, as I am the only person who works in my company’s marketing department. It was great to share ideas and hear their experiences."

“It was also great to learn from some fantastic tutors with industry experience and take away lots of new knowledge and skills that I can apply to in my day-to-day work.”

Among the various valuable lessons she learned, Louise singled out one aspect that had a significant impact on her:

"The most valuable area of the course for me was how to put all my learning into creating a marketing strategy. It has been great to learn all the individual marketing skills, but then to be able to put all the knowledge together to create a strategy or campaign and how best to analyse and seek value from this had been very beneficial."

The Skills Bootcamp not only taught theory but also provided Louise with valuable hands-on experience.

"Working on a brief as part of the course was fantastic. It was great to work as part of a team to create a pitch and put into practice the skills I learned in the course. I always learn best by actually doing what I’ve learned so this was great. Then to have people from the company that the brief was set from to watch the presentation and give feedback was brilliant.”

For Louise, the course had several game-changing benefits. First and foremost, it boosted her confidence and empowered her to take charge of her marketing skills. With a clearer direction and a comprehensive understanding of marketing, she now had the tools to implement effective strategies for her company's future.

"The biggest benefits of doing the course have been that it has grown my confidence and allowed me to show more direction in my marketing skills. It has allowed me to work on strategies that I can implement into our company's marketing for the future. I now have a better understanding of marketing, and the skills I have learned on the course will help me develop our company's marketing."

Drawing from her own experiences and newfound wisdom, Louise had some valuable advice for aspiring marketing professionals.

"If you are seeking to grow your marketing career, my advice would be to have a growth mindset, and always continue learning to be the best person you can be in your role. Don’t be scared to ask questions and follow people who inspire you."
