I’ve just written a blog criticizing Maybelline for their disappointing efforts at LFW this year.
All in all they should have looked to their fellow sponsors Swatch for ideas on how to make the best from this opportunity.
After a little trawling I found Swatch’s room. Beautifully displayed watches circled their unique LFW entry – a product designed just for this event.
If LFW has been a circled date in your diary for months, this was a great opportunity to take home a piece of experience, to remember for years to come.
Then I spied the somewhat quirky Scotland image – very apt for the referendum that was being run that very day (although I fear it was coincidence not design)

Lesson learnt – use any touchpoint you can to engage with your customers (or potential customers) the long term impact will be worth more than a quick sale.
