Celebrate good times, come on! The DMA Talent Marketing Challenge is turning 23 – and sound the fanfare; Instagram are supporting this year.

That’s right, Instagram are confirmed to provide the brief for next year’s Marketing Challenge and we cannot wait to kick things off in the autumn term.

Launched in 2010, the platform has over 500 million accounts worldwide that are active every day, 400 million of those using the stories feature, with July marking the 2 year anniversary of Instagram stories.

We’re extremely excited about the platform’s involvement, as we’re confident that the majority of students who tackle this brief will be daily users. The brief will focus around the stories feature, so we can’t wait to see how students utilise and develop something that’s practically second nature to them in responding to a business problem.

Jenna Sandoval, North America Marketing Lead for Instagram commented:

Instagram is about bringing you closer to the people and the things you love, and businesses play an active role within the Instagram community. Our Instagram Business Marketing team is excited to partner with DMA Talent to work with students to hear their brilliant ideas that can help shape the future of Instagram marketing. Instagram strives to make positive community impact, and this marketing challenge is just one way that we’re working with the external community to help develop future marketing talent.’

Whilst we tinker away with the brief (which will be issued in September) you can read about last year’s competition, brief provided by Royal Mail, including the winning team here.

If you’d like to take part in this year’s challenge, you can register your interest here to be the first in line to receive information.

You can also follow DMA Talent on Twitter at @DMATalent or on Instagram (obviously!) at @dma_talent.
