In conversation with the DMA Black Marketers Council: Marie Feliho
21 Mar 2024
Motivated by the racial events of 2020 in the US and UK, along with recognising the declining representation of black talent in data and marketing, the DMA, Barclays, and OLIVER convened senior industry leaders to address the issue from which emerged the Black Marketers Council. The council aims to contribute to developing more ethical, diverse, and ultimately successful organisations.
In an interview conducted by Natalie Eve Roper, Founder of Embrace, council members discussed their motivations for joining, professional and personal concerns in the DEI space, and how these factors drive their ambitions.
This second interview is with Marie Feliho, Director of Customer Experience at Virgin Media O2 and Deputy Chair of the Black Marketers Council, in which she discusses the intersectional experience of being black and a woman in the tech industry, the importance of authentic change, and how she wants to attract and retain black talent.
