Emotions matter with Phrasee


Emotions matter more than you think. Phrasee’s latest campaign aims to help raise awareness of mental health issues. From day one Phrasee’s founders Parry, Neil and Victoria said that they would take action, as mental health issues affect us all in one way or another.

It is imperative that we, as marketers, as technologists, and a human beings are part of the conversation.

The *vast* majority of marketers are doing what they can to ensure their messaging doesn’t detrimentally affect people. Some people are still focusing on exploitative marketing tactics. Phrasee believes that this needs to stop, they want to put an end to people actively encouraging the use of negative emotions such as fear, guilt and anxiety to make more sales.

To encourage this Phrasee have created their Emotions Matter campaign and produced a starter guidebook to ethical marketing. The guide book is a collection of thought-provoking advice from senior figures and brands, to start changing the conversation around fear and anxiety-based marketing.
