Are you being successful without using any paid social media strategies - poll results
23 Aug 2014
We've probably all read an article or two around the idea that social media success happens (especially on Facebook) if you pay for it. We at the social media council thought it would be good to hear your views on whether you were having success on social media without paying.
As you can see from the pie chart, the resutls speak for themselves.
Facebook has received more than its fair share of criticism over fake likes, engagement figures dropping, even paid likes being fake and so the list goes on. But that said it has been the plaform that people have over recent months noticed that their reach in audience fall.
Like Facebook and as announced on Twitter this week social media networks want the content that gets the most attention to be the most relevant and engaging for their customers - the users. As a business we are going to have to work harder and harder at ensuring our content is focused on end user engagement and any business who is still doing the good old 'social media broadcasting' is going to sit up and listen to their audience for success - paid or otherwise.
Define success :-)
