Following nominations from across the industry, Graham Dodd, Managing Director of The Letterbox Consultancy has been named as the recipient of the 2019 The Arthur Thompson Memorial Award. The award was created in memory of Arthur Thompson and his immense contribution to the industry, it is presented to individuals who have similarly made outstanding service to the growth and positioning of the medium.

Graham has worked in the industry for almost 50 years. Seeing an opportunity for companies to offer clients a range of distribution options, rather than each channel operating in silo, led him to start his own consultancy in 1995. Since then Graham has continued to pursue innovation within the industry, finding solutions to client briefs resulting in award winning campaigns as well as improving standards. He has been a vocal advocate of the door drop channel through education and promotion of the channel to clients and agencies alike.

Former Arthur Thompson Memorial Award winner, Roger Sparrow says, “It has been a privilege and a great pleasure to work with Graham as an industry colleague and friend. Graham provides good counsel and approaches every issue with integrity and common sense. He represents his company and his sector with distinction, but above all he has always put the interests of the industry first.”

Graham has been an involved and dedicated member of the DMA. For many years he sat on the Door Drop Council, among other things, leading the organisation of two day industry events and devoting his time for the good of the industry.
