Today's TV Landscape

In this session, Leila Travis, Head of Planning at Thinkbox, will give an overview of today’s TV landscape and explore how the world of opportunities for TV advertisers is expanding.

TV advertising’s role in the creation of leading brands and profitable businesses is well documented. But how do brands get started on TV? Learn how TV is both a mass and a micro-targeted medium and how, even with a modest budget, it can deliver big business effects for brands and catalyse other media.

Get personal with your audience
Online and on demand TV has fragmented audiences by giving viewers the choice to watch what they want, when they want, where they want. But the data shared between viewer and broadcaster has presented marketers with unprecedented opportunities to micro-target highly engaged audiences.

In this session, Jon Block, controller of commercial digital products, unveils ITV’s new online advertising format aimed at supporting new-to-TV brands, regional advertisers and small and medium-sized businesses.

Second-screening opportunities
The advent of social media and mass adoption of smartphones and tablets has rapidly transformed regular TV viewing from a passive one-way activity into a dynamic two-way pastime.

In our second screen panel session we look at what works and what doesn’t when taking a customer on a journey from the main screen to other devices.

Panellists: ITV’s controller of commercial digital products, John Block, and Will Harvey, creative lab technologist for Ogilvy Labs London.

Live video editing demo
This is your chance to get advice on how to create great content on the smallest of budgets. In this hands-on practical session, Andrew Greener, Managing director at Spectrecom Films, will show you the kind of TV content you can achieve on the most modest of budgets and includes a live editing demo.

Guide to Sky Adsmart
Following last year’s launch of Sky AdSmart, Daniel Stephenson (AdSmart controller), takes us through some of the most recent case studies with an insight into results, and new product releases for 2015.
