Head of Data Strategy

Paul has over 30 years commercial, consulting & analytics experience in the development & application of consumer and location data & analytics in online and offline marketing. Having been with Experian for over 10 years, Paul has had global and UK roles across analytics, data development, product management and data strategy. Prior to joining Experian, I was 18 years as Data Director of a consultancy specialising in consumer & location data & analytics, working on major consultancy projects for businesses across all verticals in UK & overseas.

He is currently Head of Data Governance for Experian’s Targeting division, responsible for data protection, consumer privacy and business risk matters. Leading Targeting’s GDPR program and sitting on Experian’s GDPR Readiness Board, Paul is currently focused particularly on the requirements and impact of the EU GDPR for Experian, for organisations and the marketing industry in general.  Operating as the 1st line data protection / consumer privacy “go to”, he works with relevant areas across the business using his commercial knowledge to translate data protection regulation – existing & future – into meaningful actions required for both the business & clients. Paul works closely with a number of Experian’s clients to help them navigate through the changes to personal data regulation and to share knowledge as appropriate.  

Paul is an active member of several industry groups, including the Market Research Society’s Census and Geodemographics Group.
