Designers, this time it’s your turn. In an industry first, we're looking for creative designers in the industry to join our unique and totally immersive Future Writers’ Labs to flex your artistic wings and work on a range of experiments and projects in partnership with our copywriters - are you up to the challenge?

The DMA is launching a very special version of the Future Writers' Lab in February 2019 - and inviting designers to join the course to work in partnership with our writers across a range of projects and experiments.

We are looking for digital designers, illustrators, artists, creative directors, art directors - anyone with a passion for the craft.

Debi Bester is the course leader and writer in residence at the DMA. She boasts more than 110 awards for creativity and innovation and has judged both the DMA Awards and Cannes Lions.

Debi champions the relationship between writer and designer and believes in the importance of each craft learning how best to understand and communicate with one another to enable a smooth collaboration in the workplace.

By joining the five week course you will:

  • Have the opportunity to understand what makes the collaboration between writer and designer work
  • Explore how to effectively communicate with your writer counterpart and discover the new techniques and models that will enhance your working relationship
  • You’ll look at how designers and writers can open up to each other, learn to understand each other’s perspective, and feedback constructively in a professional process that's as much about playing as working

By having designers alongside writers on this course we plan to break new creative ground and deliver some startling new work.
