Join us and BJL on Thursday 23 May for an action-packed evening filled with pizza, networking and a chance to explore the dos and don’ts of creating impactful film content for your audience

Lights. Camera. Action.

The session will cover how to create and film brilliant footage. From 10 second idents through to a 30/40 sec TVC, you’ll explore the difference between brand ads and direct response filming.

With examples of good and bad campaigns to hand, you’ll also get the chance to strike up a friendly debate with creative peers from across Manchester, and our guest speaker, Richard Pearson.

There’ll also be an introduction from Rosie Atherfold, head of councils, DMA, who’ll present a brief overview of what the new campaign for Great British Creativity is and some exciting new developments from the DMA.

During the session you will:

  • Discover the new Campaign for Great British Creativity
  • Hear Karl Stones, creative director, BJL, discuss how to create brilliant footage
  • Debate the good, the bad, and the fantastic film out there (with a few examples, to boot)
  • Network with fellow creatives from across the city
