Supporting best practice

Your job is complicated enough, so why should you follow the DM Code and standards of best practice? 

As a marketing professional, you know that if something is worth doing, then it’s worth doing well. We couldn’t agree more. That’s why the DM Code of Practice and the standards of best practice we’ve developed for every direct marketing sector help you to benefit from the wit, wisdom and experience of your fellow industry practitioners.     

Following the DM Code of Practice is a condition of DMA membership, rather than a legal necessity. We ask our members to do so because it’s vital for proving to government that, as an industry, we’re capable of keeping our house in order to avoid inviting excessive regulatory clampdowns. The DM Code and other standards of best practice are also there to help win the trust of business and the consumer in the value of direct marketing. We support best practice because it’s what’s best for your business.
