DMA-IDM conference 2013: The evolution of communication

Registration is closed for this event

Be part of the marketing evolution that will future-proof our industry and your business. Join senior marketers for a full day of insights at the industry's biggest event outside London, the DMA/IDM conference on Wednesday 2 October.

Our panel of speakers, which includes Kelvin Newman, Creative & Strategy Director at SiteVisibility, will unveil the next step in communication: one-to-one-millions marketing. They'll look at everything from search marketing, crowdsourcing and the importance of copy in content to marketing transformation programmes and online retailing.

Here is a glimpse of the agenda:

  • Yesterday's dead. Tomorrow hasn't happened yet
Andrew Barke, Senior Industry Head, Google, looks at how technology is changing how we communicate and consume media
  • Search 2015: What's coming next?
Kelvin Newman, Creative & Strategy Director, SiteVisibility explores what's new at Google, Facebook's new search engine and the bleeding edge of search engine marketing
  • Crowdsourcing: the future of marketing
Rob Wilmott, Partner at bcsAgency and Co-founder illustrates how crowdsourcing is creating a three-way dialogue between business, potential and existing customers
  • 1 to 1 to Millions Communication
Chris Combemale, Executive Director, DMA,  will bring you up to date with the DMA’s new content strategy. He will look at 6 cultural characteristics (behaviour, structure, knowledge, mindset, relationships and leadership) and explain how the DMA will shift from traditional trade association to modern community and create value for all  our members
  • Content is king - so don't let it die on the toilet
Kings don't have a great history. They get overthrown. Beheaded. Or die on the toilet clutching a burger. Sticky Content's CEO Catherine Toole shares the crown jewels of content tactics to come up with strategic, targeted, on-brand content customers love.

  • Think big by thinking small
The mobile has changed the behaviour and needs of bus and rail passengers. Gillian Singh, Group Marketing Director of Go-Ahead, explains how they adapted to improve marketing communications, be more social, relevant and personal for their customers.

Our star line-up also includes:
Gillian Singh, Group Marketing Director, Go-Ahead
Catherine Toole, CEO, Sticky Content
Joe Murray, Founder & CEO, Worldstores
