Young Spark award
Back![]() |
John Young was the original spark and the inspiration behind our search for the industry's rising star. Not only did he have what it takes, John cared enough to develop the talents of those around him.
Using his talents around the world, he ran Wunderman in Amsterdam, was joint MD of Claydon Heeley in London and set up CJHM's operation in Beijing. Finally returning to his native Scotland, he ran WWAV Rapp Collins' Edinburgh office.
Sadly, John lost his battle against cancer at the age of 38. The DMA launched the Young Spark award in 2006 to seek out, recognise and develop the talents of a future generation of leaders. It's a fitting memorial for someone who believed so strongly in inspiring and developing those around him.
Call for entries takes place in September 2011 so watch this space for further information or contact: events@dma.org.uk
